IA Partners Inc. (Representative Director: Hiroshi Murakami; hereinafter “IAP”) is pleased to announce that IAPF3 Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of IA Partners No. 1 Investment Limited Partnership and other entity managed or serviced by IAP, has, following a tender offer (TOB) launched on February 16, 2026, for the shares of Wattman Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “Wattman”) , and following a series of subsequent procedures, completed the acquisition of Watman’s shares and the delisting process as of June 19, 2026.
IAP focuses its investment activities on investing in large and medium-sized companies and supporting the carve-out of their group companies and business units, strengthening their management bases and unlocking their growth potential through M&A and other measures. Moving forward, IAP will work closely with Wattman’s management team. Building on the company’s purchasing and sales capabilities—cultivated over many years under its “Tokoton Kaitori” (Buy-Back to the Fullest possible) philosophy—and its store network based in Kanagawa, IAP will strive to enhance management systems and improve our human resources and organizational structure. At the same time, IAP will intensify efforts to open new stores in the comprehensive reuse and used camera businesses, expand our business scope through capital and business alliances with industry peers and M&A, and boost sales in our new-product e-commerce business—all as an integrated effort—to vigorously support Wattman’s growth. This share acquisition goes beyond a mere capital injection; it marks the first step toward our commitment to the sustainable enhancement of corporate value beyond the scope of the investment period, and to jointly realizing Wattman’s further leap forward as a comprehensive reuse company leading the way in a circular economy.
