Investment in Susumu Holdings Corporation

(President: Hiroshi Murakami; hereinafter, “IAP”) is pleased to announce that funds managed or advised by IAP have completed a capital injection into Susumu Holdings Corporation (President: Naochika Okamoto; hereinafter, “Susumu HD”) through third-party allotment of newly issued stock.
Susumu Co., Ltd., a core subsidiary of Susumu HD, was established in July 1964 to develop, manufacture and sell chip resistors utilizing its thin-film technology. The company is a long-established resistor manufacturer with one of the world’s most advanced technologies and has been leveraging such technology to supply products to the automotive and industrial equipment market. The company’s thin-film chip resistors are both highly precise and reliable, and the demand is expected to further expand in the future due to strong and growing market needs in various cutting-edge fields such as electrified automotive, industrial machinery, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, information infrastructure, medical and aerospace industries.
IAP aims to invest in large and medium-sized companies and carve-outs of their group companies and business divisions, and unlocking its growth potential through strengthening their management base as well as M&As and finance capabilities. Post transaction, based on the manufacturing technology and marketing skill in thin-film chip resistors that Susumu HD has been cultivating for six decades, IAP will provide various management and financial support to meet growing product needs, and will work together with Susumu HD to enhance the company’s corporate value over the medium to long term.
