Acquisition of Diasalt Corporation

IA Partners Inc. (“IAP”) is pleased to announce that funds managed or advised by IAP have entered into a share purchase agreement with Mitsubishi Materials Corporation to acquire the shares of Diasalt Corporation ( “Diasalt”).
Diasalt was founded in 1955 and is mainly engaged in manufacturing and sales of salt, as well as the seawater-origin chemical products, such as potassium chloride and magnesium chloride. Diasalt is the only salt manufacturer located in Kyusyu among other competitors in Japan and has been providing high-quality salt and chemical products all over Japan that are indispensable to our lives.
IAP focuses on spin-off deals among large and medium-sized Japanese companies and unlocking the growth potential of their subsidiaries and divisions through strengthening their management infrastructure and M&A or other measures. Post transaction, based on the manufacturing technology and marketing skill that Diasalt has built up over the years, IAP will provide various management and financial support and work together with Diasalt to expand and strengthen its business foundation, aiming to grow its value over the mid-long term, even beyond the investment horizon.
