First Closing of the IA Partners I Investment Limited Partnership
IA Partners Inc. (head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hiroshi Murakami; hereinafter “IAP”) is pleased to announce the IA Partners I Investment Limited Partnership (hereafter “the Fund”) has completed its first closing on March 31st 2022.
The Fund attracted institutional investors including the Japan Investment Corporation and the Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, as well as non-financial companies. We will continue fundraising with the target of 40 billion yen at final closing.
The Fund will focus on spin-off deals among large and medium-sized Japanese companies and unlock the growth potential of their subsidiaries and divisions through strengthening their management infrastructure and encouraging business or industry restructuring. The Fund’s basic principle is to prioritize enhancing value for all stakeholders of portfolio companies, namely employees, customers, suppliers, communities and shareholders, in a balanced manner over the medium to long term, thereby supporting their sustainable growth as a trusted partner, even beyond the Fund’s investment horizon.
