In 1986, Akira joined The Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan (SBI Shinsei Bank). Moved to A.T.Kearney in 1998. He worked at Advantage Partners Inc. as a Partner from 2001 to 2016. From 2007 to 2016, he was also the head of PIPEs investments team, Advantage Advisors. Currently he is a board member of TSI Holdings. Graduated from Tokyo University (Economics) and holds MBA from Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania.
